I am already very excited because I am going to a festival with the boyfriend, it is the first time we are going to festival that takes longer than 1 dag. So we will be packing our camping gear and will be staying in Lierop this weekend. I am really excited but also a little nervous as we have not done this yet.
Now let see what is on the agenda for this week, as was the case for the rest of August, not much is going on at the venues. But there are a lot of festivals you can visit, the dance lovers can enjoy a weekend at Mysteryland, in the north you can visit Hullabaloo, which Dutch finest bands like, Danny Vera, Snelle, Meau, Racoon, and many more.
Nirwana Tuinfeest
For this weeks festival highlight we travel to the south of the Netherlands, to Lierop, where Nirwana Tuinfeest is being held. This will be the first time we are going to this festival and I am very excited! Normally I would planned out the entire festival, which bands I want to see, but this time I will be going in blind and just see what happens. I have already seen some of the headliners this year, thinking of De Staat and Dewolff, so we can just chill during this festival. I will be seeing De Staat later this year as well, as part of their club tour, they will be visiting Hedon. Then I will be in first row probably.
There is only one band I really really want to see, and that will be Mando Diao. Mando Diao is a Swedish indierock band that has been on my wishlist to see live for a while. Their biggest hit was Dance With Somebody. Even though I don't listen to them often anymore, I still would like to see how they perform live. And I will be able to check another box of my wish list.
For the rest of the festival, I am just going to see what is cool, I kind of want to see Seasick Steve, since he always plays so many festivals in the Netherlands, just want to see what his deal is about. Furthermore I am curious about Temple Fang and Kadavar. Both will probably be very loud, but I am very curious if I will like them!
